Lovely Baby Photography Studio is based in Carlsbad, CA - just outside of San Diego
Our photography studio is designed with newborn photography in mind - we are fully stocked with soft, neutral and colored blankets, wraps, headbands, hats, wood floor backdrops and tiny props to complement your newborn baby for his or her first photo shoot.
Our boutique studio in Carlsbad (North San Diego County) is the perfect space for capturing your newborn baby's first portraits.
During the session, we will take breaks as needed so that your newborn baby remains content and sleepy. Stacey specializes in prop sets - so we will usually use 4-5 different props during the session. Don't forget that we love family shots, as well as shots of baby with big brother or big sister. You can upgrade your package to capture pictures of mom with baby, dad with baby, and siblings with the baby.
Hair and Makeup for mom is available for an additional fee. And we have a beautiful selection of wardrobe for mom to use during the session.
We even have outfits for "big brother" and "big sister" (depending on the age of your child(ren)).
Studio sessions can be for baby only, or you can add on the option to have family photographed with baby as well.

When should i schedule my newborn session?
Its best to schedule several months before baby arrives. I take a limited number of newborns each month, so if you want to be certain to have a spot, make sure to contact me early. I don't hold an exact date for the session until after baby arrives. Filling out my contract and putting in your session fee will hold a session for you in the weeks surrounding babys arrival.
I dont know if I will feel up to family images, should I still do them?
I know you'll be so tired after baby arrives and you probably won't feel your best. I still encourage families to be in the images, even if you're tired. You can add on hair & makeup and get a little pampering in while I am working with baby only initially. Once hair and makeup is complete, we will capture stunning mom/baby, dad/baby, family and sibling images (if there are any big brothers/sisters). I promise you won't regret being in the pictures. The newborn stage goes by quickly and its so special to have these images.
