I had such a nice time today with this lovely family.  Little Sophia did a great job, and slept for a solid half hour during our session.  She modeled my new favorite home made orange flower headband.  I love orange for babies… Anyways, I am sharing a few family photos as well as photos of the gift that dad gave to mom and Sophia in the hospital.  He found this gorgeous custom box and matching pearl bracelets for the two of them on etsy.  The box has her stats and information written on the inside… it was SO pretty!  I love it!  Enjoy your sneak peek!

This little guy was so itty bitty and CUTE!  I loved our session today and I was able to use some new backgrounds and fabrics.  I’m finally getting a few boys lately, after my solid run of baby girls.  It was a great session and he did so well… although I think that he is now going to be addicted to his paci.  Mom gave it to him during the session for the first time, and every time I tried to take it out, he wasn’t happy with me.  It was great to meet you mama, and sweet little Jackson also!

It was a pleasure meeting another wonderful family of three.  Madelyn did a great job during her shoot, and slept for about an hour straight, letting me move her all over the place!  Thank you mom and dad – here are your sneak peeks!

What a sweet little guy!  I have been photographing a ton of little girls lately, and I finally had a little baby boy this last week!  I took mom and dad’s maternity photos a few months ago, and little Mason finally arrived.  He looks just like his daddy!  He slept like a champ.  I have a few to share as a sneak peek and I will add more soon.

I trekked out to Auburn this afternoon for this session.  I typically encourage parents to schedule their newborn session in the first two weeks of baby’s life, preferably around the 5-10 day mark, so that we can get those sleepy baby, curl up in a ball shots.  This session though, was an example of an older baby and still getting great images!  I have had a few “older” newborns the past few weeks.  And they have all done a great job!  She was a little sweetie, and we did get a few short periods of sleep out of her.

On my way back down the mountain, it was snowing!  It is now Spring in the Sacramento area, and this weather has been so strange.  I cannot believe it is still raining this much, and snowing in Auburn in mid-March!  Crazy!  I wish I had stopped and taken a few photos on my way out.  The snow had been falling for a short time and was lightly blanketing everything.  It was just gorgeous!

Here is a lovely sneak peek from a sweet little three and a half week old baby girl from today!  It is sometimes challenging to get the older babies to sleep for the session, but she was perfect!  She slept the whole time, and I was able to move her a few times.  She did so great!

What a little doll baby!  This little sweetie was a natural.  She did a great job and slept quite a bit for us.  At this age, it is harder to get the curl up in a ball, on the tummy shots… but we still got some beautiful captures.  I seriously just love what I do… who can complain about staring at perfect little babies all day long!?   Thank you for the Peets grandma!  It was great to meet the four of you!

The weather was perfect this weekend for the cherry blossom mini sessions that I held in Fair Oaks.  I worked with five families, and had a great time.  Unfortunately, three weeks ago the trees were FULL of blossoms, and by the time the mini sessions rolled around, there were hardly any left on the trees.  We still captured some great images from the weekend… and three of these families were clients that I did newborn sessions for.  I LOVE that!  Seeing these little people as they grow is really rewarding to me.

This family was my first of the morning… and their little girl is so sweet!  You can see her 3 month images here.  It has been so nice getting to know this lovely family of three.

I worked with mom and daughter when little Sofie was just nine days old.  You can see her newborn images here.  It is so fun to see how much they grow!  She is such a happy and smiley baby…. it was really great to see you both!

And one other sneak peek, another family who I worked with several months back.  Little Lylah was just five weeks old when I did her baby photos, and you can see those here!  It was great to see this family again as well.
